What is your relationship to rest?

This Is Your Permission Slip to Slow Down

Dearest community,

As a woman, I have to actively remind myself to rest.
Especially around my cycle (stay tuned — I’ll have a post coming soon about syncing with your cycle).
But seriously…in a world that feeds off of us being constantly busy and "on" — what if our real self-care looked a little rebellious?

When life slows down, when there’s a pause — instead of filling the space with more doing, what if you let yourself be in it?
What if you just laid there, counted your breaths, tuned into your body, and let yourself feel how much it's doing for you…even when you're "doing nothing"?

Micro-moments of real rest — not scrolling, not numbing — but true being — actually support our energy, our clarity, our creativity.
Rest doesn't set us back — it fills our cup so we can show up from a deeper place.

So this is your reminder:
Take that long savasana.
Go for the slow walk during your lunch break.
Cancel plans if your body is asking for a quiet night in.
Snuggle up, read a book, lay on the floor, stare at the ceiling — and just breathe.

Don't wait until you're burnt out or hurting to rest.
Rest because you love yourself enough to not need a "reason."

If you want support in reconnecting with that deep, healing rest, through restorative movement or bodywork, we can create a space for your whole system to soften, recharge, and come back to life.

You deserve to feel rested. You deserve to feel nourished.
And you don’t have to do it alone.

Reach out to me for 1-1 restorative bodywork or yoga sessions by replying back to this email or clicking the link below.

I would be honored to support you in your journey of being a well-rested human.

With all of my love,
Kam

“Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time.”
