Embrace Your Menstrual Cycle: Women's Health Insights & Tips
Discover the power of embracing your menstrual cycle: a four-week guide to understanding women's hormonal phases, benefits, and insights for partners and women alike.
Hey sweet community,
Delighted to have you here. Gosh, am I ever not thinking about women and our cycles? Lol.
This week, I decided to give you a little introduction to this work that lives rent-free in both my heart and brain.
I’m sharing this because it has truly changed my life. It’s made things easier for me — and educating my man (and the people around me) has made their lives easier too. Lol.
So, stay tuned — even if you’re a man here without a womb. The women around you will LOVEEEE that you know this stuff. Keep reading… for your sisters, daughters, and lovers.
As a woman, we are constantly cycling through our menstrual cycle. And it’s not just about the BLEED! You actually move through four delicious phases every month.
Let’s cut to the chase.
We get to live in an era where women are finally being embraced for their cycles, so let’s drop the shame and start falling in love with these very intelligent rhythms.
Each phase has its own gift. I’ll guide you through what each one is, its unique gift, and a simple way to support yourself (or your woman) in that phase.
You will receive an email each week for the next four weeks breaking this down!
I was initially putting it all in one email, but realized.. this is rich. I want you to take it in bite sized pieces.

Phase 1: Bleed 🩸
This might be the one you're most familiar with — it’s when the womb sheds its endometrial lining due to no child being conceived. This often misunderstood part of the cycle is actually full of magic and mystery.
The first day of your bleed marks day 1 of your monthly 28-32 day cycle.
I relate to this part of the cycle as Winter.
Our body temperature is at its coolest, our womb is shedding, and we are internal.
Its gift is deep rest, intuition, reflection, and the honoring of death. We get to release the past month’s pain, joy, creations, and moments — in gratitude.
We are the most Yin during this time.
Your bleed is the first 1–7 days of your cycle, can vary depending on your body.
Supportive practices:
Prioritize rest, journaling, warm foods and drinks, yin yoga, stillness, and deep listening.
When you give your womb space to breathe and bleed during this time, it will take you on a powerful journey — sometimes psychedelic — into the psyche of your womb. You will come out on the other side lighter, freer, with more clarity and a freshness for the next cycle.
Partners of women, be extra sweet to her.
Bring her a warm compress for her womb. Let her rest in bed longer than usual. Make her a warm, nourishing meal — think soup, iron-rich broths, and red meats (if she’s down). A healing gift you can provide your woman is affirming + encouraging her to rest. Woman often struggle to take rest, your encouragement will provide greater ease.
If she is your romantic partner… orgasms can be a wonderful way to help alleviate cramps.
How to romance yourself in bleed:
Create little solo ceremony on the first few days of your bleed.
Dim the lights.
Create privacy.
Light a candle
Warm up some oil and gently massage your belly, womb, arms, breasts if you like with the warmed oil.
Breathe.
Listen internally.
Luxuriate in the pleasure of being asked to slow down.
If you want to get freaky wit’ it, take a dap of your blood and pray with it. Speak into your blood the intentions you have for the new cycle coming. Give it to the Earth.
I loveeee to breathe my next month’s intent into the blood and give it back to the Earth.
Our blood is sacred. In this, your might touch shame..let that be felt and moved with, too.
The mantra:
“I am safe to rest. I allow my womb to speak. I listen to myself and trust myself to let go.”
Its archetype is: The Chrone
Symbolizing death, letting go, wisdom and space being created for re-birth.
Do not fight this phase.
The name of the game is rest, surrender, breath, and trust.
She (your womb & your woman if you’re willing) will take you on a journey.
Estrogen levels begins to rise again slowly toward the end of the bleed preparing you for…the follicular phase. Where we rise from the ashes and begin to create again.
Reach out if you have any questions…
Stay tuned for next week.
❤️
Follicular Phase coming your way!
With alllllll my love,
Kam
